The ability to manually enter a scale for take off drawings

Some drawings do not have a scale or a measure on to set the scale against. Can we have the ability to type in the scale to be used? e.g. 1:100 at A0

Midsummer also requested this - but have a request that in addition to the standard scale pre-selects there be a function where you can determine a scale from an area as well as the current from a line. Eg on some drawings there is no linear measurement to determine scale, but we might have a room area showing. See video Stuart recorded on site visit.
