Quite often we have the need to import a product template to an assessment, customize the parameters such as wastage, contingency, or replacing certain components with different ones to suit the specific project, and then duplicate this new tailored product template within the same assessment as we may need to have multiple lines of the same product.
Currently this can only be done by syncing the revised product template back to the library as a new project specific template, then re-adding. This results in an accumulation of unceccessary templates in the library, which although can be archived, is an unnecessary additional step. It also introduces risk that we may overwrite the current template with the new project specific one in the event we forget to change sync options.
